The storm system that ransacked parts of California last week has moved inland and dumped pre-Christmas snow on parts of the Southwest, allowing residents and visitors access to skiing and sledding areas. Ski areas in New Mexico are reporting several inches of snow – Taos Ski Valley has received up to 14 inches. More snow is expected, with another Pacific front moving in midweek.
