
The last surviving ‘car porter’ in Nepal has given an interview describing his experiences carrying luxury automobiles into the land-locked Himalayan nation for the playboy rulers of Nepal. During the 1930s, when the former kingdom first opened to the outside world, a series of luxury cars were carried by hand to Kathmandu, which at the time was not connected to anywhere else by road.
