Moscow will be adorned with patriotic graffiti through a government-funded art project, to mark the anniversary of the battle for Moscow in WWII.

The graffiti, which will be created by well-known street artists, are commissioned by the Moscow Department of Culture. There will be 10 pieces covering topics from the Great Patriotic War (WWII) in Russia. The inaugural piece, called ‘Soviet Pilots’, will be presented on 2 October, near the Novaya Opera theatre.
