A theme park based around the Moomin characters is slated to open in Japan in 2017.
The park – named ‘Metsa’ (‘forest’ in Finnish) – will be located in a lakeside area in Saitama Prefecture, with museums as well as restaurants serving Nordic meals. According to the company developing the project, it will be the first Moomin-themed park outside of Finland. Read more: ajw.asahi.com
