Malibu is one of the most exclusive suburbs of Los Angeles thanks to its coastal location and sandy beaches, but those beaches have been diminishing over the years and now officials and locals have decided it’s time for action.

Waves have gradually washed away much of the sand at Broad Beach, but a project approved by the California Coastal Commission hopes to reverse that.
