Three movies which languished in the basement of a hotel in Voss, Norway, for almost a quarter of a century are to be shown at an art gallery in the town on Tuesday.

American David Jon Long had sent the reels to himself at Voss' Hotel Jarl in 1980, but never claimed them. The reels were discovered by local artist Kjell-Erik Ruud when the hotel went bankrupt a few years ago and, since he's been unable to track down the mysterious Mr Long, Ruud is planning to screen the films at a gallery. While he has so far resisted watching the movies, Rudd believes they'll feature footage of Norwegian nature, or winter sports.
