
It’s only the start of the wildfire season but an area close to popular Lake Tahoe is already battling the flames. Drought conditions have heightened the wildfire risk and the latest blaze has forced the evacuation of campgrounds south of the lake, with residents and businesses in the town of Markleeville being warned they might have to flee.
