After holding out for years, New York-based airline JetBlue Airways is going to start charging up to US$25 per piece of checked luggage.

Up until now passengers were allowed to check one piece of luggage for free on JetBlue, which was one of the very few US airlines who did not charge for luggage. The change will not affect existing bookings, but new reservations will now be charged for baggage.
