A floating sculpture of a cow at Jaipur’s Art Summit has been grounded by police after complaints from Hindu groups.

The papier mâché model, supported in the air by a helium balloon, was created to highlight the plight of India’s street cows, who often die after eating plastic bags and poisonous rubbish, but some onlookers decided that the cow looked like it was being hanged and called the authorities. The police later apologised for the action, but the artists, who were held and questioned for two hours, have decided to take down the artwork permanently. Read more: bbc.co.uk
