
The 42nd annual Honolulu Marathon, the fourth largest in the US after New York, Chicago and Boston, will begin on Sunday, with several events leading up to the race. On Wednesday the Marathon Expo opens, where runners can pick up race bibs and packets, and purchase athletic gear and running accessories. Race entrants are also able to buy tickets to Thursday’s Luau and Carb Loading Party, which includes an all-you-can-eat buffet and Hawaiian entertainment. The route for Sunday’s race runs along the coast, east from downtown, and road closures are expected. Read more: honolulumarathon.org
