A 62-year old Sacramento hiker has finally been rescued after nine days lost in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Miyuki Harwood was out walking when she slipped and broke her leg. She spent two days crawling to a creek where she used her water filter to help stay hydrated while waiting for rescuers whose efforts were hampered by local wildfires. She’s now recovering in hospital. Read more: usatoday.com
