A new cafe has opened in Singapore that serves a range of magical dishes inspired by the wonderful wizarding world of Harry Potter, including Goblet of Fire, Liquid Luck and Truth Venom cocktails, Wizard’s Cup sponge cake and Black Magic panna cotta.

Located in the corner of 1094 Serangoon Road in the north-east of Singapore, Platform 1094 is the second outlet to be opened by of FFL Fresh Fruits Lab, who established a laboratory-themed restaurant and bar in east Singapore in 2013. The new cafe opened in December with a Harry Potter themed menu, and decor that brings customers into the world created by J.K. Rowling. The interior features warm brick walls, wood-panelled ceilings and soft chandelier light fixtures, while chairs decorated with colourful stag prints, are matched with long wooden tables. A selection of props including witch’s hats and wands are provided, allowing guests to truly get into the spirit of things.

The food at Platform 1094 is suitably magical too, with wizard-themed starters, main dishes, desserts and cocktails available. One of the most popular drinks at the cafe has proven to be the Goblet of Fire, an alcoholic cocktail that is made with blue curacao liqueur, lemonade and Bacardi rum. The drink is then set on fire in front of guests and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, causing sparks and flames to swirl.

Other treats include the Wizard’s Cup, a freshly baked stout sponge cupcake with a white chocolate truffle topping, the Elixir of Life, a non-alcoholic cocktail of sprite, tonic water and lime sorbet and the Liquid Luck pineapple, mango, banana and ginger smoothie. The cafe also serves a range of dishes such as Lebanese grilled chicken pasta, wild mushroom soup, kale and cranberry shrimp salad, drunken clam pasta and truffle fries. Platform 1094 is open now, with more information on visiting available at their website.
