Hangzhou has become the latest city in China to offer a 72-hour visa-free scheme to travellers. The capital of Zhejiang province, Hangzhou is a popular stop for travellers due to its location along a high-speed rail line about an hour from Shanghai. The city is known for its West Lake scenic area and silk-making tradition and has long been considered one of China’s most beautiful cities.
