Dubai-based Gulf Airlines has become the latest carrier to change its flights to Kathmandu over concerns about fuel shortages in the country.

One daily flight from Doha to Kathmandu has been cancelled and all flights from Kathmandu to the Gulf will now stop in Lucknow to take on extra fuel. In recent weeks, China Southern and China Eastern have cancelled their Kathmandu flights and Korean Airlines, SilkAir and Malaysia Airlines are all making additional stops in Dhaka, Kolkata or Bangkok to refuel.
