A giant golden statue of iconic Welsh singer Shirley Bassey dressed as a Celtic warrior queen has been unveiled at Caernarfon Castle. The 20ft figure by artist Marc Rees shows Bassey styled as the Celtic queen Boudicca, with a hole where her heart should be.

The statue celebrates the Get Creative festival, a weekend of cultural activities across in Wales that takes in dance, music and art. "The statue is a call to arms to protect the arts and a rallying cry for people to use their creativity," said Rees. Read more: bbc.co.uk
