Ford is bringing its ‘smart’ automotive technology to two-wheeled vehicles in a new project for an electric bicycle created especially for commuters. The e-bikes will come with a 200-watt motor, and will be able to reach speeds of 25 miles an hour and more crucially for riders commuting in traffic-heavy city streets they will also incorporate rear-facing ultrasonic sensors that will alert the biker when another vehicle is getting too close.
