Plans for London’s first large cruise-ship terminal in 34 years have met with resistance from residents.

It’s expected that 60 vessels a year would use the facility, in Greenwich, and residents argue that the ships would generate serious pollution – they can burn 700 litres of diesel an hour, equivalent to 400 idling lorries. London has not had a large cruise ship terminal since the closure of the Royal Docks in 1981. Read more: travelweekly.co.uk
