
From Easter onwards camping at basic campgrounds in Victoria will once again be free for all. The decision to introduce a fee of $13 per night for a site has been reversed by the incoming government and holidaymakers who have paid for Easter camping will be eligible for a refund. The government said the fee was an administrative nightmare and would raise very little revenue, while deterring families from experiencing nature by accessing Victoria’s national parks and wildlife.
