As of 1 October Malawi will require entry visas for European and Asian nationals.
These will be issued upon arrival with a charge of US$75. The tourism industry in the country has protested against the move, but the foreign affairs minister was quoted as saying: 'Malawi is not for free… US$75 puts us at par with neighbouring countries in southern Africa.' Read more: reuters.com
