
The very first recording that Elvis Presley pressed to acetate is going to be auctioned off on the 8th January 2015, the day that would have been the ‘King’’s 80th birthday. The record was made in 1953 at Memphis Recording Service when an 18-year-old Presley paid $4 to find out what his voice sounded like on record. Songs featured are My Happiness and That’s When Your Heartaches. There has been no estimate made on the value of the recording. Read more: bbc.com
