Police in Ecuador have seized 200,000 shark fins in the port city of Manta. The fins, which were about to be illegally exported to Asia, are often used to make shark fin soup. Interior minister Jose Serrano said at least 50,000 sharks were killed by traffickers and six people have been arrested on charges of damaging wildlife. Read more: bbc.com
