An early manuscript of the screenplay for iconic ‘80s film, The Breakfast Club, has been discovered in the very high school where the movie was made. The find was made when Maine North High School in Illinois was packing up to move to a new location. The manuscript which is dated 21 September 1983 was discovered when one of the janitors was clearing out a filing cabinet. It is thought the script was given to the superintendent of the film at the time for ‘approval’. The draft shows that the film was originally going to be called the Saturday Breakfast Club.
