Muscle-bound wrestlers from the Indian village of Fatehpur Beri near Delhi are increasingly being employed as bouncers in the nightclubs of New Delhi and Gurgaon, according to a report in The Times of India. The Tanwar clan are descended from the original inhabitants of Delhi, who waged a fierce resistance against Islamic invaders and British colonisers, but today many clan members put their traditional training in the Indian martial art of kushti to use ejecting drunk and disorderly Delhi-ites from the city’s nightspots.
