A Croatian man who was searching for shells in his local Kupa river found more than he bargained for, when he came across an enormous prehistoric shark’s tooth.
The fossilised tooth belonged to a megalodon shark, which prowled the seas approximately 16 to 2.6 million years ago and measured up to 18 metres long, several times larger than a modern great white shark. Read more: dailymail.co.uk
