There’s been a new discovery inside the Amphipolis tomb in northern Greece. After several significant findings in previous weeks including a human skeleton, the archaeologists working at the site have unearthed coins dating from the 2nd century BC and depicting the face of Alexander the Great. Painted pottery from the 4th century BC has also been discovered. According to the Greek culture ministry, the tomb was probably looted during the Roman era, and sealed afterwards.
