There have been demonstrations against ride-sharing companies around the world and now authorities in Mexico City are introducing measures to control one of the most prominent, Uber.

New rules mean that Uber drivers will have to have licenses, pay into a transport fund, and not be allowed to accept cash for journeys. The proposals come after taxi drivers criticised ride-sharing companies and urged the city government to do something about them. Read more:
