China is set to open what is claimed to be the largest glass platform in Asia near Chongqing.

The country has seen a spate of dizzying glass structures open in the past several years, including a 300-metre-high glass bridge in May of this year and the world’s longest glass cantilever bridge in April. The latest will be a giant transparent viewing platform suspended eleven metres off a cliff edge in Wulong county and have a view 280 metres down to the bottom of a verdant canyon.
