International carriers such as Kenya Airways and South African Airways have resumed flights to Douala International Airport in Cameroon following its official reopening Monday.
The airport was closed on 1 March 2016 for extensive works. During the closure, many flights were rerouted to the nation’s capital Yaoundé. Although not Cameroon’s political hub, Douala is considered by most to be the country’s main city.
