
A new cafe in Bristol will serve food past its sell-by date that has been taken from supermarket skips and restaurants. Skipchen, in Stokes Croft, has a menu that changes every day and has featured lobster, gorgonzola omelettes and seafood platters. Food is also sourced from restaurant chain Nando’s and from nearby farms. The cafe aims to highlight the amount of food that is thrown away – manager Sam Joseph has lived on waste food for the last three years. Read more: bbc.co.uk
