The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised that Burkina Faso’s land borders and airports have reopened following the military coup last Thursday.

The FCO noted that the situation remains unclear, with tensions remaining high and a curfew in place from 7pm to 6am. Presidential elections are still expected to take place on the eleventh of October, with a potential second round of voting on the 15th of November.
