
An explosion in Cairo has left twelve people injured. A home-made bomb was placed in a busy district near a court house and subway station. The blast came after seven Islamic militants were sentenced to death for terror attacks, among them Adel Ibrahim, a senior member of Ansar Beit al-Maqdis. Authorities said he was previously convicted in connection to bombings in the Red Sea resort of Taba in 2004, although his lawyers deny this. Read more: theguardian.com
