A bronze statue of comedian Bill Cosby was being removed from Hollywood Studios in Florida on Tuesday night by theme park officials; Walt Disney World who own the park made no further comment.
The removal comes after court documents disclosed that Cosby had testified in 2005 that he obtained Quaaludes (a powerful sedative), and gave them to at least one woman he wanted to have sex with. A total of 45 women have come forward saying they were sexually assaulted by Cosby. The bust of Cosby was part of Disney’s Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza and sat alongside the likes of Lucille Ball and Oprah Winfrey. Read more: orlandosentinel.com
