The new Archaeological Museum of Macedonia has opened in the capital Skopje. It has three floors and an area of 6000 sq m, and features more than 6000 artifacts from prehistory to the Middle Ages. Some of the exhibits presented to the public for the first time include a copy of Alexander the Great’s sarcophagus, and a reconstructed Roman chariot from the 2nd century. Fifteen wax figures are also on display, among them those of Alexander the Great and Phillip II. Read more: independent.mk
