A 70-year-old American tourist, Robert Alan Black, has been released after spending a month in prison in Abu Dhabi. He was arrested and charged with taking pictures of restricted areas after snapping a photo of a sign banning photography in the embassy district. Taking photos in restricted areas, which can include military sites and government buildings, is punishable in the UAE with 1-3 months in jail and fines up to Dhs5000 ($1360).
