As part of a tourism initiative for 2015 Albania has lifted its visa regulations for many former soviet countries including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well as several Arab nations like Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain. The Albanian Ministry of Economy and Tourism says the move is a response to a growing interest in Albanian tourism in these countries. As of yet the new visa regulations will only apply during the Albanian tourist season from 1 June to 1 November 2015. Read more: balkaneu.com
