A hoax bomb threat made to Air India, the national airline of India, was actually a complicated attempt to frame a love rival, according to evidence being heard by courts in Bengaluru.

Computer technician Gokul Macheri, 33, allegedly made the hoax call last week to frame his friend Saju Jose, hoping to then resume a relationship with Jose’s wife, who was the teenage sweetheart of the hoax-caller.
