
An exhibition to mark the 60th anniversary of the completion of Warsaw's Palace of Culture and Science has opened in the Polish capital. The 231-metre-tall structure was a gift to Poland from communist leader Joseph Stalin, and was completed in 1955. The vast building has been used for a variety of purposes over the years, from hosting Communist Party meetings in the communist era, to rock concerts for bands such as The Rolling Stones.
