In the city that never sleeps it will now be easier than ever to grab a few moments of calm and relaxation with the launch of a mobile meditation studio travelling New York City offering 30-minute meditation sessions.

Be Time promises “meditation for the people” and cosy space where people can take a break from their busy days. Each session will be 30 minutes long, guided by an instructor and will focus on different themes like increasing focus, creativity or energy or decreasing stress levels. There will also be more informal open time sessions.

Founder Carla Hammond praises the benefits of meditation, saying just 10-20 minutes a day can really make a difference in your life. “It increases your productivity and creativity, reduces stress, anxiety, and risk of cardiovascular disease, improves insomnia and relationships with yourself and others”, she said in a statement.

It’s not the city’s first mobile meditation studio – there is a Calm City meditation truck with regular stops in Manhattan – but the Be Time studio has been specially created to provide an optimised environment for self-care. It’s sound-insulated, temperature-controlled, full of soft furnishings and weighted blankets and has additional features for aromatherapy and light therapy.

You can try out your first session for $10 and afterwards classes will be $22 with class packs available at a discount. You can also avail of the space for your own meditation for $11. Discounted rates are also available for students.
