Piwakawaka Point on the South Island is the latest “ultra-luxury” villa on offer from accommodation and travel company MajorDomo. The villa certainly leaves an impression with its 360-degree views of Lake Wanaka and the mountains of the nearby Mt Aspiring National Park.

The home is big enough for 14 occupants and the hire fee is based on occupancy for 10 people and a two-night minimum stay is required. But if you’re wondering what an ultra-luxury holiday will set you back, assume the worst as the price is only available on application.

However, you can still daydream of a holiday in the incredible 1300-square-metre home, which sits right on Lake Wanaka with six-kilometres of lakefront access. It’s located about a 20-minute drive from Wanaka and is “within easy helicopter access to popular destinations such as Queenstown, Milford Sound, Mt Aspiring and Fiordland national parks.”

The home is located on its own 330 acres, providing guests with access to “a tennis court, stables and dressage arena, oversized spa pool, petanque, croquet, frisbee golf, kilometres of private trails and lakefront, and access to stand-up-paddle boards and kayaks.” Within the home there’s a cellar and wine tasting room, a sauna and gym, a library, a media and games room and more. Guests can also avail of a concierge service that offers services such as a private chef, massage, yoga, catering, and more.

MajorDomo co-founder and director, Fiona Stevens, said in a statement: “We anticipate that our guests will also appreciate the helipad for easy access, and the on-site host and separate butler’s kitchen for convenient and seamless stays. This is a rare property where discerning guests can truly escape in complete privacy, immerse themselves in New Zealand’s beauty and relax in absolute luxury”.

Well, we can certainly dream.
