If you are seeking to become more Zen, a newly re-imagined luxury wellness resort will open in Hawai’i in March 2018, and it will have a living wall vertical garden to add to the serenity factor. Other features include an adults-only pool, a Crossfit studio and a host of new guest activities and experiences that are all rooted in wellness.
The $46 million renovation is taking place at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, which will be known at the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, and will remain owned and managed by Prince Resorts Hawaii. It is nestled on the edge of award-winning Hapuna Beach on the sunny Kohala Coast on the Big Island. It says that it will be an oasis for well-being, and guests staying there will be surrounded by greenery and the sea and will experience the true essence of rejuvenation.
A new adults-only pool and spa will include comfortable cabanas, chaise longues and pool ledge loungers for pure relaxation. The new lobby design will include interactive pods for check-in and its focal point will be the living wall vertical garden. There will be 232 guestrooms and 17 suites, featuring smart flat-screen televisions, charging stations and a mini-refrigerator and coffee maker.
Guests can choose from four dining options, including Meridia, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant with craft cocktails and al fresco dining; Naupaka Beach Grill, a casual restaurant featuring an extensive list of local brews on tap; Ikena Landing, an open-air breakfast venue with a buffet and à la carte options; and Piko Coffee+Bar, a barista bar serving a light menu and fresh grab and go selections.
