Making sure to schedule an international vacation every year can be tough – and very expensive. But the winner of a new competition will ensure they can take one free vacation every year for the next 25 years.
Tour company Exodus Travels launched a contest that will give travellers from the US and Canada a chance to win one trip per year from the company for the next 25 years. The #LifeofExodus winner will get to pick one trip from the company’s 600 cultural, hiking, cycling and responsible wildlife adventures each year.
The trips go all over the world and include things like heading to Italy’s wine regions, cycling along Croatia’s coast, or hiking Peru’s Inca Trail. The company says its experiences are focused on maximizing the experience and sustainable tourism, while minimizing the effects on the local environment.
To enter, travellers can pick their three dream trips from the company’s portfolio of tours on the contest website, then wait and see if they win. The contest is only open to residents in Canada and the US until 15 September, 2017.
More and more companies are trying to lure in travellers with the prospect of free travel. In March, Royal Caribbean cruise line held a contest that asked people to take part in an Instagram competition to prove that their friends are the “world’s most adventurous squad”. The top prize winners would win three seven-night cruises and a cash prize. Some companies are also offering dream job opportunities, like Thirdhome, a home rental site that posted a job for someone to test out multi-million dollar luxury homes and get paid $10,000 per month.
