If you’re a fan of music, fitness, food, a forthcoming English festival might just be your particular cup of kombucha. The LoveFit Festival will take place in St Clere Estate in Kent in July, a rolling green estate offering natural walks, organic settings, blissful sunsets and camping under the stars.
You and your yoga mat are likely to have an amazing weekend as organisers say that the aim of this festival is to get guests loose in as many ways possible.
You’ll be able to dance deep in the lush forest wilderness, as well as participating in hot yoga in a yurt, wild swimming in a natural lake, and health workshops, competitions and tournaments. There are all sorts of blood-pumping extras, from box jumps to kettlebells, battle ropes to circuit training, and spinning classes in the trees.
The festival will have big name brands such as Ministry of Sound’s Ministry Does Fitness and well-known fitness personalities, classes and instructors, including Charlotte Holmes, Carly Rowena, Kim Hartwell and Callum Melly. Organisers say that the event offers “non-pretentious, non-hippie dippy fitness,” exciting and healthy food and drink and on point music.
Musically, Tom Findlay from Groove Armada will be on hand to serve up hits from his iconic back catalogue, and he will be joined by Radio 1 star Danny Howard, who is very much the face of contemporary house music. Then you have Nike’s yoga trainer, fitness junkie and stellar DJ Jessica Skye – founder of Fat Buddha Yoga – who loves to create the perfect ambience, and SG Lewis, a house producer from Liverpool who has been doing big things on labels like PMR and counts Disclosure and Pharell as fans.
In order to keep you fuelled and energised, there will be mouthwatering food and drink on offer, including skinny Prosecco and gluten free beer. Meat eaters, vegans and vegetarians are all catered for so think Fit Burgers, Fit Veggie Burgers, Fit Pasta Protein boxes, Fit Falafel Wraps all from Fit Delis.
There will be specialist vegan döner and vegan baklava by What The Pitta, amazing frozen coconut yoghurt from FroByJoy and all dairy-free, gluten-free, soya-free and guilt-free. Add in gorgeous Acai fruit bowls from House of Acai, and a world of organic smoothies, juices, porridge, flapjacks and soups from Strawberries and Greens, and you have plenty to nosh on while you dance or swim your socks off.
To unwind, you can indulge yourself in the Forest Spa, by chilling in the bubbling hot tubs or relaxing in one of the swinging tree hammocks. While there are a limited number of day tickets for those who can’t make the entire weekend, camping under the stars is all part of the festival experience. For visitors looking to upgrade to something a little more VIP, LoveFit has partnered with the Pop Up Hotel who specialise in boutique style glamping accommodation, from bell tents through to deluxe Junior Tenthouses.
LoveFit will take place in the grounds of St Clere Estate in Kent from the 28 to 31 July. See www.lovefitfestival.com for further information.
