Planning a trip to London this summer in the hopes of soaking up some of that often elusive sun? Tourists and locals alike may be pleased to learn that from this week on, it is possible to rent a series of personal standalone cabanas that overlook the River Thames, making them the perfect place to relax and unwind with a drink.
Created by Coppa Club bar and restaurant, the seven cabanas are located on a large south-facing terrace and feature a large hexagonal bar for service. The custom-made timber structures offer incredible views of the points of interest that lie in the surrounding area, including Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast and The Shard.
Each of the Mediterranean-style cabanas is decorated with wisteria and roses growing up through their structures, and are furnished with outdoor sofas, wicker armchairs, festoon lighting, space heaters and individual speakers.
Three of the seven cabanas can be reserved for private use with space for 8 – 10 people, while two have a number of smaller tables for groups of 2 – 6. Two cabanas located right beside the bar are designated for walk-ins only. Special summer cocktails are on the menu, such as the “Britz Spritz”, which has Kamm & Sons British aperitif, elderflower, prosecco and soda, as well as an aperol, prosecco and soda spritz. A new brunch menu has also launched in anticipation for the summer, featuring dishes like kiln-smoked salmon with spinach, eggs and hollandaise.
Last winter saw Coppa Club creating a series of cosy igloos that were available for private hire at the same location, but with warmer weather on the way, they have been replaced with the cabanas.
The cabanas are available for booking from the official Coppa Club website.
