If you’re sweet on the idea of a real-life Willy Wonka experience, ‘A Chocolate Experience’ is a new interactive adventure that has just opened in Universal Studios on Sentosa Island in Singapore. From eating marshmallows dipped into fondue fountains and hunting for treats around the park, the chocolate adventure is available to all park visitors for the month of May, and you won’t even need a golden ticket.
Located at Soundstage 28, behind the Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase, you’ll find fondues in the Chocolate Garden. There are four different flavoured fountains to dip marshmallows into, including dark chocolate, white chocolate, pandan and strawberry. You can decorate a giant lollipop and place it into Lollipop Land, a space for larger-than-life colourful candies. Then there’s the Cocoa Hedge Maze, a mini-maze for children.

Children looking to decorate cupcakes or cookies can sign up for a mini-workshop for S$6 per person. Alas, there are no oompa loompas roaming around, but a host of characters such as Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster, Candice Cupcake and Mama Cookie will make appearances in the Chocolate Garden.

There is also a character called the Chocolate Man, who will randomly bestow visitors to the park with prizes, including vouchers for Universal Studios Singapore admission tickets. There are various stalls and restaurants selling weird and wonderful snack combos, like Nutella and cheese fries, and fried chicken with a chocolate dip.
‘A Chocolate Adventure’ runs until 28 May at Universal Studios Singapore, Soundstage 28. See here for further information.
