Comparethemarket.com is running a competition to find a student Travel Advisor. Their responsibilities are simple; travel the world to capture some of the world’s most beautiful and exciting sights and write a blog full of recommendations for fellow student travellers on the best places to go and things to do.

While the job isn’t paid, the winner will get free accommodation, excursions and activities, a round-the-world plane ticket and, of course, travel insurance. They’ll be equipped with a top-range camera to capture as much detail as possible and their trip will last at least three months and they’ll visit a minimum of four countries. The winner’s student union will also receive £5000 to spend.

To apply online, candidates simply have to submit their social media details and describe their ideal place to visit and why in 200 words or less. The entries will be whittled down to five finalists who will submit a video explaining why they should be named the company’s Travel Advisor. The videos will be published on YouTube and the person with the highest number of votes from the public will be named the winner.

Entrants must be UK students in their final year, at least 21 years of age and hold a full passport. Entries close at midnight on 30 April so you still have some time to craft that perfect response.
