This airline has made a handy list of things to do on a flight without a laptop or a tablet

Passing the time on flights without precious technology is set to become an absolute nightmare for travellers, following the ban of electronic devices as cabin luggage on certain flights.

Luckily, airline Royal Jordanian has come in with some *helpful* advice to those so addicted to technology that they can’t fathom a flight without their laptop. With tomorrow being the deadline for compliance with the US ban, the tips haven’t come a moment too soon.

The list starts with “Read a book,” continues to “Reclaim territory on armrest,” ends with a suggestion you contemplate the meaning of life.

The rule applies to passengers on nonstop, US-bound flights from eight countries in the Middle East and North Africa, and prevents them from bringing laptops, tablets and other electronic devices in their carry-on luggage. Cell phones and smartphones can still be brought on board, but all other devices are required to go into the hold.
