If no meal seems as comforting to you as a big plate of baked beans – or you just want to enjoy an incredibly British experience – then a new baked beans pop-up in London is the place to go.
Heinz, one of the most famous makers of beans, is opened a pop-up at Selfridges Foodhall. The pop-up is designed to celebrate 50 years since the company coined the famous slogan “Beanz Meanz Heinz”.
The menu is set to thrill lovers of a nice warm breakfast, serving beans with crispy bacon, smoked ham hock or scrambled eggs – with optional cheese on top – at a price of £3. The beans bar will open on 27 March and will stay open until 23 April.
“Every day, two million people sit down to enjoy Heinz Beanz, whether that’s on toast, with a jacket potato or served alongside other dinner favourites. We wanted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the advertising slogan ‘Beanz Meanz Heinz’ by offering up some modern twists that people can enjoy not only at our pop-up bar but also re-create within the comfort of their own home,” said Francesco Mattiussi from Heinz in a statement.
