Get paid to spend the summer travelling and drinking beer with this internship

Stop what you’re doing and start working on your resume, a company is looking for interns to spend the summer travelling and sampling brews from around the world.

Last year, World of Beer – a Florida-based craft-beer bar chain – announced that it was offering an internship where lucky people would travel around, drink beer and document their experiences, and get paid $12,000 for their efforts. Thankfully, the internship is back again this year, and anyone who loves travel and pints can apply until the end of March.

The company is looking for a team of three interns who would travel between breweries and World of Beer taverns around the US to learn about the drink and share their experiences on social media. World of Beer is looking for people who love to snap pictures of beer and food and share it on social media. They want travelers who love to hit the road, and creative types like photographers, bloggers and videographers. Since a lot of the job will be interacting with people over a pint, they are looking for friendly folks who love chatting and sharing stories with strangers – all with a beer in hand.

“Whether you’re a photographer or writer, social media maverick or beer blog surfer, we are looking for you. Adventure seekers and storytellers, beer experts or novices, brewery nerds and foodie fans all open to apply”, says the listing.

Last year’s interns were able to head to breweries around the US and to amazing international destinations like Ireland, to sample a bit of Guinness, or the UK, where they paid a visit to Brewdog.

The successful applicants must be willing to learn about beer, try new things, use social media and of course, travel. They note that if you want to stand out on your application, they want people who can share their beer pics, talk about their favourite brewery or beer festival visit, and show off their passion and personality. To apply, share a one-minute video on the website, that “shows your passion and interest for the position”. After that, the lucky people who make it round two will be asked for an interview at one of the World of Beer locations around the US. Learn more at worldofbeer.com/drinkitintern
