Wizz Air, a Hungarian low-cost airline offering many flights around Central and Eastern Europe, announced that it will open a base at London’s Luton Airport and expand its flight offerings from the city. While Wizz Air has operated flights from the airport for over twelve years, it will be the airline’s first UK base. The airline will operate three new flights from London, heading to Tel Aviv, Prishtina in Kosovo, and Kutaisi. They will also increase the number of flights to the Romanian cities of Suceava, Constanta, and Iasi.
Flights to Kutaisi start on 18 June and will run Thursday and Sunday, with prices starting at £34.99. The city is Georgia’s third-most-populous city and its airport is a hub for budget carriers.
