A new Airbnb in London will let people spend a night surrounded in a calm and plant-filled home with a lush interior inspired by the Pantone colour of the year.
The “Outside In” home, from the famed colour-matching company, will allow a family of four to spend the night steeped in the colour “Greenery”. Each year, Pantone selects one colour, and this year’s shade is described as a “fresh and zesty yellow-green shade”, which is “symbolic of new beginnings, evoking the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore, and renew”.
To match the colour, the home in Clerkenwell is billed as an indoor-outdoor oasis. Guests will be greeted by a private groundskeeper and get to check out the indoor greenhouse that doubles as a dining room.
Inside, there’s room for four people, with one bathroom, two bedrooms and three beds. And while dinner isn’t provided, guests can freely snip from the herb garden to add to their meal. They can also shower in “the rainforest room” and take a bath in an indoor “tropical lagoon” that features a living moss bath mat.
A night in the lush and green home will set you back £200 per night, but all the proceeds will go to the AIGA, the professional association for design, and Pantone will match the cost.
There are just a few rules simple rules for prospective guests; they’re encouraged to bring positive energy, use the lawn for morning yoga, recycle and compost, and “breathe deeply and slowly to take in maximum oxygen from the plants”.
